An Editing System for Multichannel Digital Tape Recorders

Document Thumbnail

A method for routinely implementing high quality edits is a valuable adjunct to a multi-channel digital audio recording system. A programmable digital editing system offers improvements over cut and splice editing which are comparable to the improvements which digital recording has exhibited over analog recording. The design of such a system, which is currently being developed for use with the 3M Digital Audio Mastering System, is described.
