Precise Compact Cassette Test Tape and Its Considerations

Document Thumbnail

Measuring the closed circuit flux level on magnetic tape has problems. There are many proposals to calibrate these recorded levels, but you will find some amount of difference between these methods. Reference head method is said to be very practical and used worldwide, so measuring electric voltage as for the induced flux level need to analyze its true efficiency. Distributing function of the leakage flux is introduced for the calculation of the total amount of leakage reluctance which distributes between coil to coil space around the core of symmetrical head that is developed for the purpose of true recorded flux level on the tape. From these considerations we established the calibration system for producing the Precise Compact Cassette Test Tape based on the new theory.
