This paper proposes a new criterion for the best distribution of normal room modes, with the objective of improving the acoustics of recording and broadcasting studios. It will also analyze a new system for the control of isolated room modes in order to obtain rooms free of sound coloring. It will describe application examples, comparison with some other criterion, and a simple computer program to perform all the calculations.
