Computer-Aided Design of Loudspeaker Crossover Networks

Document Thumbnail

A design technique is described whereby the component values of a loudspeaker crossover network are selected by a digital computer such that the value of a functional is minimized. The functional represents the error between the desired and actual frequency responses of the system where the latter is calculated using the measured frequency response and terminal impedance of the driver(s). Examples of the results obtained using the technique are given.
