A Versatile High-Speed -Off-Line- Sweetening System for Television Audio Post Production

The overall concept of this unique method of final audio mixing for network television program sis described. This -double-system- approach, using coincidental SMPTE time code on an eight-channel audio recorder with -workprint- picture information from a 1-inch (25-mm) videotape unit, allows greatly improved freedom from the production staff. Equipment, personnel, and step-by-step procedures are discussed in detail.
