The Development of a High Quality Turntable

Document Thumbnail

A new suspension system for a gramophone turntable is described. It consists of hollow synthetic rubber spheres, filled with a viscous liquid. This gives a very low resonance with remarkable isolation from external vibration and shock, especially lateral impact. Other design features which contribute to the overall performance are described.
