Considerable attention has been given amplifier power testing in search for methods which would honestly and simply characterize a unit's "useful" power output. Modern designs have created a wealth of behavioral anomalies which reveal the inadequacies of conventional test procedures. Several such areas are discussed and proposals for evaluating associated behavior are suggested.
