QS Quadrophonic Synthesizer: What It Does and How It Does It

This paper describes a quadraphonic synthesizer able to translate two-channel sources into a four-channel presentation. Through pre-encoding over the stereo left and the stereo right signals, it is possible to obtain a 360° sound dispersion with over 24 dB interchannel separation.
