Automatic Noise Filter for Telephone Lines
A signal-actuated variable filter reduces noise by 6 to 20 dB while improving the subjective quality of telephone signals. The system consists of a combination of a fixed band-pass filter, an automatic low-pass filter, a low-level expander, and an adjustable equalizer.
