High Power Transistor Audio Amplifiers

Several models of high power audio amplifiers have been developed; each is capable of delivering 45 watts output. These amplifiers use a ribbon chassis for cooling and operate over an ambient temperature range of -10°C to +50°C. One amplifier uses a series type circuit and the other a quasi-complementary symmetry type circuit. Amplifier size and weight are reduced since neither circuit employs driver or output transformers.
