Pilottone Follow-Up System with Digital-Analog Signal Processing
The paper describes a pilottone follow up system which avoids most of the shortcomings related to the pilottone synchronizing systems in general. The heart of the system is a four-bit up and down counter. The system is not sensitive to dropouts of the pilottone signal due to the internal analog hold circuitry. Synchronization is achieved with a minimum of wow. The system offers good performance at high economy.
