Suppression of Slew Rate and Transient IM Distortions in Audio Power Amplifiers

Document Thumbnail

The dynamic and steady-state inter-loop responses of a negative feedback amplifier are examined to identify causes of the transient IM and slew-rate distortions. A technique for suppressing them is described which consists of a frequency compensation network in the feedback loop in combination with a single-pole low-pass filter.
