Three-Dimensional Displays for Demonstrating Transient Characteristics of Loudspeakers

Document Thumbnail

A concept of the cumulative spectra was proposed by L. R. Fincham and J. M. Berman. In this paper, the mathematical meaning and the practical method for displaying it have been discussed. The cross sections parallel to the time axis of the cumulative spectra have been identified with the amplitude modulation components of responses which are caused by the sudden cut-off of the input sinusoidal waves. A new three-dimensional display of transient response of loudspeaker has been proposed.
