Impulse Measurement Techniques for Quality Determination in Hi-Fi Equipment, with Special Emphasis on Loudspeakers

The first of a series of papers describing the use of impulse measurement techniques in the field of electroacoustics. The paper is meant to serve as an introduction to the techniques by both showing the methods and results when applied to tape recorders, microphones, and loudspeakers. The use of a meaningful series of pulses for the evaluation of such amplifiers and transducers is suggested.
