Development of an Intracranial Pressure Transducer

A specific semiconductor strain gage transducer, of the type currently used in the audio world, has been developed to monitor continuously -brain tension.- This paper describes the electrical and mechanical characteristics of the transducer, as well as its medical qualifications, together with current investigations into intracranial dynamics. Also, applications of similar pressure transducers in medical research are discussed.
