Comparative Stereophonic Listening Tests

Document Thumbnail

The signals supplied by six different stereophonic microphone systems, placed in front of an orchestra, were simultaneously and separately recorded. Neither reverberation nor other effects were added. The audience, listening to unidentified stereophonic excerpts, was invited to classify different quality parameters (resolution, perspective, liveness, stage continuity, etc.).
