Voltage-Controlled Gain in the Audio Channel

Document Thumbnail

A system of voltage-controlled amplification is discussed, making use of the longtailed pair amplifier configuration. Gain is controlled by varying the emitter current and can be either realized linearly for amplitude modulation or with a logarithmic function in the case of manual or programmed level control.
