A VU Meter for the Blind Operator
This paper describes the development of an instrument for the monitoring of audio program material by a blind operator. Whereas the customary VU meter presents a visual indication to the operator, this instrument presents the same data by means of a keyed audio tone. The instrument is calibrated in VU and possesses the same ballistic characteristics.
