QMX Carrier-Channel Disc

Document Thumbnail

UMX matrices provide optimal-localization directivity patterns with balance-invariant symmetry and orientation. These advantages over sum-differences matrixing permit specification of two, low-distortion, low-noise, noncompandor, narrowband, FM channels for linear, time-invariant combination with optimal mono-stereo-compatible baseband matrix channels. Development of this discrete-matrix QMX disc, with audio bandwidth to 18 kHz, top frequency below 35 kHz, and simplified cutting, processing, and playing, is described.
