The Audio Committee of the Scientific Working Group on Digital Evidence (SWGDE) recently published the document “SWGDE Best Practices for Forensic Audio.” This document provides forensic audio practitioners recommendations for the handling and examination of forensic audio evidence in a manner suitable for introduction into a court of law. An overview of this document, the SWGDE organization, and its Audio Committee will be presented. The document is available online at www.swgde.org/documents.
