An Electronic Forward Drive in Transcription Turntables
The quality of a turntable can be described by 4 specifications: 1) wow and flutter, 2) sensitivity against outer influences, 3) rumble, 4) reliability. While items 1 and 3 are clearly identified by figures, there are unfortunately no definitions available for both the other specifications and individual company standards and testing methods have to be used. They are, of course, undeserving for the comparison of different brands.
