LSIs for Digital Signal Processing To Be Used In "Compact Disc Digital Audio" Players
Three LSIs to process the digital signals in optical compact digital audio disc players have been developed. The newly developed LSIs are the CX-7933 demodulator circuit, the CX-7934 data control and interpolation circuit, and the CX-7935 error correction circuit. Used in a set, these three LSIs significantly improve the audio characteristics of a DAD player. One of the outstanding features is the error correction circuit. This particular circuit incorporates a very unique correction method called the "Super Strategy" which maintains a superb correctability while improving on the existing method by a factor of several orders.
