Acoustics and Sound Systems of the Palace of Culture in Prague

At the beginning of 1981 a multipurpose building - the Palace of Culture - has been opened in Prague. In this building, two large halls and some smaller halls and auditoria are situated. The paper concentrates on the description of the acoustics and sound systems in the two largest halls, the Congress Hall and the Social Hall, and will give some first experiences concerning the acoustics and the sound systems used in these halls.
