Using a Hand-Held Computer as Sound Level Measuring Tool

By using a small computer to control several general purpose deices, it is possible to duplicate the functions of a sophisticated test instrument. This can be accomplished at a cost less than a dedicated instrument and has the added benefit of allowing the user to configure the system for any number of tasks.
