Technical products are becoming more and more miniaturized by the progressive miniaturization of components. Problems often occur where very small mechanical elements are incorporated. Using the examples of an electret-condenser-microphone it will be shown by which means the size of such microphones can be reduced drastically. The influence on the performance of such a transducer will be explained.
