Development of a New Loudspeaker System Having Extended Frequency Range and Low Distortion Particularly at Low Frequencies and High Power Levels
A new woofer was designed to have a voice coil with two windings which are driven in parallel at low frequencies only in order to extend the low frequency range. A magnetic circuit with a new structure significantly improves the amplitude linearity at high power levels and low frequencies which produce large displacements resulting from the enhanced low frequency performance.
