Room Acoustic Quality of a Multipurpose Hall : A Case Study - How to Dress a Cinema for Music Performances
This paper presents the acoustical solutions to adjust the room acoustic quality of a Multipurpose Hall, considering its second main purpose: a Concert Hall! Starting from the main properties of the Hall as a Cinema (its main use) as defined previously, our objective, in this phase of the study, is to look for the acceptable acoustical conditions for music concerts. We are considering the use of physical elements and an electro-acoustical system, in our search for the most effective and economical solution that might solve the existing problems, still allowing for the natural sound of musical instruments and orchestral ensembles.
