Behind the Actor's Back

Document Thumbnail

Increasing use of extended stage and theater in the round production techniques has created acoustical problems particularly for seating positions located behind actors. The paper discusses several approaches to the solution of these problems, including both natural reinforcement using sound reflecting surfaces and electroacoustics solutions. Considerations of frequency response and overall gain for electronic reinforcement systems are reviewed.
