Networked audio systems can be simply defined as a connection of IT and professional audio. Nowadays, we can use protocols developed by IT specialists to ensure system recovery without human intervention. There is a possibility to improve the recovery time of the system after failure by optimizing the protocols responsible for network redundancy. The paper is a summary of research completed at Wroclaw University of Technology in May 2011. It contains guidelines on how to optimize the network redundancy in order to achieve the best results.
