Conference dinner

The spectacular location of the conference dinner is the North Sea Oceanarium in Hirtshals. Here you can experience life at the bottom of the sea, without getting wet. Several aquariums show you a cross section of different oceanic environments. You can for example experience the life at the bottom of the deep Norwegian trench, the perfect habitat for seafloor animals such as the Norwegian lobster. The Jutland Reef, a stone reef, created during the last ice age and an ideal environment for smaller fish and the pier at Hirtshals harbour, with its flatfish, mackerel and eels. You can experience a copy of the shipwreck S257 Stornoway and the flourishing life around the wreck.
The conference dinner will take place in front of the vast aquarium in the glow of the candelabras. During the dinner you can gaze at the 3000 fish in the enormous 4.5 million litre aquarium including their famous ocean sunfish. After a memorable evening buses will take you back to the city of Aalborg.
