AES 48th Conference on Automotive Audio: Venue
The conference will be held in the exclusive venue of Schloss Hohenkammer. The Schloss is close to Munich, and easy to reach by car, train, or aeroplane.
Restoration work on the castle and construction of the new reception and guest house were completed in autumn 2008. The authentic character of the restoration work and the ideal combination of the new structure’s materials (natural stone, wood and plaster) create a harmonious architectural ensemble. Following its restoration, Schloss Hohenkammer has become a world-class seminar centre.
A special experience awaits guests in the wellness spa. The massive, natural granite ashlars along the entrance radiate an archaic calm, while the elegant sauna landscape takes care of the rest. The result: a total sense of well-being.
Take the suburban rail, S2, from Munich’s Central Station in the direction of Ingolstadt and get off at Petershausen. Schloss Hohenkammer is just a few kilometres from Petershausen and easy to reach by taxi. The ride from the station to our reception costs approximately 10 Euros.
Please note that there are no taxis waiting at the Petershausen station! Arrange in time for a taxi by using the following numbers:
Telephone 08137 92 216
Telephone 08137 92 444
Taxi dispatch centre Freising
Telephone 08161 36 66 (the drive to the station will be charged for)
The taxi ride from Munich’s Central Station to Hohenkammer costs approximately 50 Euros, which is what visitors should also calculate for a trip from the airport.
By car – arriving from North and South
From the South take the A9 in the direction of Ingolstadt/Nürnberg/Berlin; from the North take the A9 in the direction of Munich. You will reach Schlossstraße on the right after 100 metres. Parking spaces are located directly after the bridge on your left.
