In the table below you can find the travel times. For the trip we will rent a bus in which you can take your suitcase. Before and after the museum visit, we will make a stopover at the train station. Trains leave every hour from Eisenach central station to Frankfurt and Nuremberg. So you can go directly to your desired airport.

The Bachhaus is the first museum in the world dedicated to Johann Sebastian Bach. The Neue Bachgesellschaft (New Bach Society) purchased the building in 1906. At that time it was presumed to be the birthplace of Johann Sebastian Bach.
In the museum, you can see exhibition rooms about the life and work of Bach. The Bachhaus has not only archive materials, household effects and bibliographic treasures from the times of Bach, but also a valuable collection of musical instruments as well as a specialty library, which can be used upon request and prior application.
In the instrument hall, you experience a music presentation during which the museum educators play live music on historic keyboard instruments from the time of Johann Sebastian Bach and where they present biographical details from the life of Bach.
After your visit of the museum, you can take a look at the museum shop, visit the current special exhibition or visit the small baroque garden during the summer season.
