About the 2022 AES International Conference on Automotive Audio

Over the last few years, the role of audio in the automotive industry has undergone a significant evolution. Beyond providing a good listening experience, automotive sound systems and technologies are now used in external sound design, noise management, and in-vehicle communications solutions.

And in parallel, the automotive industry is moving in exciting directions, blazing new trails in transportation and mobility. This time of disruptive change for both the audio and automotive industries begs the question: “What’s Next?”

In June 2022, Audio Engineering Society members will come together in the Motor City to address just that. Leading engineers will share their ideas around the science and practice of automotive audio, with a focus on state-of-the-art technologies, new scientific disciplines, and complimentary fields that are shaping this next new phase of the industry.
