At the crossroads of Europe, the Baltic and Scandinavia, Denmark is easy to get to and to get around in once you’re there. The airport in Aalborg is linked with, amongst others, 16 daily flights from Copenhagen, 3 from Amsterdam and 2 from Frankfurt. Copenhagen is the main air traffic hub of Northern Europe and is served by some 60 international airlines, among them numerous low-budget airlines, flying nonstop from 140 cities around the world.

Flights from Europe to Aalborg cost approximately €179 for a round-trip ticket whereas from the USA or Asia the tickets cost approximately €500 - €700. Aalborg Airport (AAL), the main gateway to North Denmark, is situated just a short 10 minutes transfer to downtown Aalborg. The city of Aalborg is a manageable city when it comes to getting from one place to another and it is easy to access by public and ground transportation. Delegates can plan their journey by bus or train at www.rejseplanen.dk. The 7km from the airport to Aalborg takes 15 minutes in a taxi, the fare is approximately €10. For the cost conscious, regular busses from the airport directly into the centre of Aalborg cost less than €5.
