The AES recognizes and honors those who have made outstanding contributions to the field of audio in engineering, technology, service, and the arts through its Awards Program.
In 1996, Robert Adams was presented with the AES Publications Award was presented with the AES Publications Award for his paper "Theory and VLSI Architectures for Asynchronous Sample-Rate Converters," vol. 41, no. 7/8 (1993 July/August). This year's award is given without regard to age.
