The AES recognizes and honors those who have made outstanding
contributions to the field of audio in engineering, technology,
service, and the arts through its Awards Program.
In 1960, Miklos Rozsa was presented with the
AES Honorary Membership Award for being an outstanding composer-conductor, devoted to the new art of music for spectacular motion pictures, and especially for his work with the medium of recording as a participating dramatic element in the production of films.
