Pierfrancesco Fravolini began dealing with sound and high fidelity in 1985 as a technical editor in the AUDIOreview magazine, in particular as an expert in speaker systems. In AUDIOreview he deals with the drafting of technical articles and tests of Hi-Fi devices. He conducts tests and measurements of hi-fi equipment and speaker systems, and designs and publishes kits for self-construction.
With Renato Giussani he writes the software "Bass-PC", the first program for the design of speaker systems dedicated to home builders. He then moved on to MCmicrocomputer, where he worked on technical tests of computers and components. In 2009 he founded 6Audio, which produces wall-mounted speaker systems.
Again with Renato Giussani, he rewrites the updated version of "Cross-PC", the first program for the design and simulation of passive filters for speaker systems dedicated to home builders.
He currently collaborates with Giussani Research for the creation of simulation software and design of speaker systems, and directs the online magazine Audioplay.it.
