Mark comes to AiAustin from the University of Texas where he served as the Director of Recording Activities and Audio Recording Technology, Assistant Professor in Jazz and Music Industry, and Longhorn Music Technical Director for the past six years. Prior to that he was the Program Coordinator in Audio Technology and faculty member at American University in Washington, D.C. Beyond his academic experience, Mark has extensive experience as an audio producer, engineer, and performer spanning over 25 years including over 60 significant CD recordings and a wide variety of music for television and films. Mark is a long time member of the National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences and the Audio Engineering Society — currently serving on the board of the AES Education Committee. Mark has also published and presented numerous papers at professional conferences. Mark earned a BS in Chemistry from Wilkes College and a Doctorate -- ABD in Physical Chemistry from the University of Pennsylvania.
