About

Manuel Melon was born in France in 1969. He obtained a M.Sc. degree in Le Mans (1992). In 1996 he received a Ph.D. degree on the ultrasonic characterization of damping materials. Then, he joined the National Conservatory of Arts and Crafts in Paris as an associate professor. In 2014, he obtained a full professor position at the Acoustic Laboratory in Le Mans where he co-supervise the International Master Degree in ElectroAcoustics (IMDEA). His research works are in the fields of nearfield acoustical holography, electroacoustics and signal processing. He became a fellow of the Audio Engineering Society in 2005.
