Lim, Wei is a graduating senior pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Sound Engineering under the Performing Arts Technology program, and a Bachelor of Science in Brain, Behavior and Cognitive Science under the Department of Psychology at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. Originally from Singapore, Wei takes particular interest in recording, mixing and producing music. His works span a variety of genres, including pop, rock, classical, ethnic and electro-acoustic.
As a musician, Wei plays the piano, a variety of Chinese plucked-string instruments and the Javanese Gamelan. H?is most recent academic dabbles are in creativity, decision processes, and the cognitive aspects of auditory processes. In his free time, Wei explores the realms of print and web design, photography, and advertising.
Lim, Wei is a recipient of the National Arts Council (Singapore) Overseas Scholarship and the School of Music, Theatre & Dance (University of Michigan) Merit Scholarship. He is currently the Chairperson of the Audio Engineering Society (University of Michigan's Student Section), and actively collaborates with budding musicians from around Ann Arbor.
