He is also acoustical consultant with more than 60 facilities designed, including Cámara de Diputados y Cámara de Senadores de la Nación Argentina, y Auditoría General de la Nación. Born in La Plata, Argentina, CANA is an advanced student of Electronic Engineering, Graduate Acoustic Design and professor at the University of Arts and other educative institutions.
As live sound operator highlights his work with Estelares, Chango Farias Gomez, Diego Frenkel, Palo Pandolfo, among others. Has made broadcating mixes for international bands like Skatalites, NoTeVaGustar, Lurrie Bell, and Massacre, Nonpalidece, Los Cafres, O Connor, DancingMood, among others.
As a recording engineer has worked on ION, Panda, CircoBeat/Romaphonic, El Pie (Buenos Aires), Zanessi (Mendoza).
He currently owns Astor Mastering Studio with more than 1100 credits of mixing and mastering, many of which have received many awards in Argentina, Colombia and Ecuador.
He became Chairman of the Audio Engineering Society (AES) Argentine Section in 2015.
He was also recognized as Outstanding Personality of Culture for the City Council in La Plata that year.
In 2016, Juan San Martin was presented with the AES Citation Award in recognition of his outstanding contributions to the dissemination of professional audio in Latin America, over a sustained period of time.
